RBL Jersey Poppy Appeal 2025 raises over £210,000

The Royal British Legion Jersey Branch, is delighted to announce that this year’s Poppy

Appeal has raised a total of £210,321 - an increase on both the 2024 and 2023 totals.

Alison Opfermann, Poppy Appeal organiser, said:

“Once again, the Jersey public have supported the Poppy Appeal so very generously.

These funds help us to care for the Island’s service veterans and their families in a variety of ways, and we offer our sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated or made a purchase.  It emphasises the amazing support in the Island for the Forces community.

I would also like to thank the hundreds of volunteers who work so tirelessly behind the scenes to make the Poppy Appeal happen, as well as the numerous organisations around the Island who help us with the Appeal in so many other ways. This year, we are particularly grateful to Canaccord Wealth for their financial support, which enabled us to bring the Chelsea Pensioners to Jersey once again.”

Paul Bradley, recently elected Chairman of The Royal British Legion, Jersey said: “Every purchase and donation to the 2025 Poppy Appeal will help members or former members of the Armed Forces community.  We are very grateful to the people of Jersey who have donated so generously to enable us to continue our work in supporting our local Veterans and their families.”
