RBL Jersey unveils refurbished premises

The refurbished offices of the Jersey Branch of the Royal British Legion were formally opened on 29th April by His Excellency, Lt Gov Sir Jerry Kyd KBE, who unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the occasion. The previous refurbishment took place in 1997, marking the Branch’s 75th anniversary, when the offices were officially opened by Sir Michael Wilkes; Jersey’s Lieutenant Governor at that time.

Other attendees at today’s ceremony included the Chairman, President, and other officials from Jersey RBL, along with representatives from partner organisations and contractors involved in the refurbishment project.

His Excellency is also the Patron of the Jersey Branch and he said...“While the mission of the Royal British Legion is timeless, the way we support our veteran community must evolve. These new offices represent a modern, accessible future for the Jersey Branch and I am incredibly proud to open them, ensuring that the Branch remains well placed to look after the Island’s veterans and families for years to come.”

RBL Jersey Branch Chairman, Paul Bradley, said...“I think that we have achieved a balance between functionality and a welcoming vibe, with an attractive space to relax, grab a coffee and have a chat. I hope this new look encourages veterans and their families to drop in when they’re nearby. And just a reminder that we are always here to help and guide any veterans and family members that may need our assistance.”
