Women's Section
In Jersey, the first steps towards the forming of a Women's Section began in October 1924 with a Ladies Committee to help out with poppy selling on Remembrance Day. In October1926, a meeting was held at La Haule Manor where it was decided to start in a Jersey branch of the "Women's Section" British Legion, which was to be called "Jersey Branch (Women's Section) British Legion." A committee was then formed with Lady Bingham as its first President.
Today the Jersey Women's Section has 54 members and runs various activities, as well as supporting all the RBL events.
